We originally booked our wedding with a well known travel company but after several telephone conversations with their wedding planning department we were continually advised that everthing would be arranged on our arrival in Italy, ie restaurant, meal, wedding cake, transport, flowers, pre wedding breakfast drinks, photographer, video, to mention just a few.
On this basis my father (the brides) set about to find another wedding planner and after viewing Italian Lakes Weddings website he decided to contact them. He spoke to Sarah and explained the situation and the problems we were experiencing in particular, the loss of the planned date and time of the wedding previously arranged, if we were to cancel our chosen wedding planner.
From the discussion and the assurances given, he personally was of the view that ILW were professional and without question would ensure that our wedding day would be planned and co-ordinated throughout the day, hence the reason he booked them there and then.
From that day, Italian Lakes Weddings took over, Anna visited Malcesine Town Hall and unofficially secured the date and time previously planned (the date could be be officially confirmed until cancelled by our original planners) and from there, the wheels turned effortolessly.
Words can not express our relief.
They arranged everything as above an in addition, my Father had arranged unknown to me, for music to be played at the ceremony and before the wedding breakfast a trip on the lake with champagne and soft drinks etc, nothing was too much trouble, they were always on hand with help and advice.
Anna and Sarah have their own skill sets and without question fulfil their individual roles wonderfully, Sarah in the UK and Anna in Italy.
Peace of mind is everything, we met with Anna a few days before the wedding to finalise the formalities and on the day of the wedding, she was with us from 3pm until around 2am the following morning, a fantastic master of ceremonies.
Without Italian Lakes Weddings our special day would not have been possible. Well done and our grateful thanks to Sarah and Anna.
We had our wedding breakfast at Al Corsaro it is positioned on the lake and below the castle, it has a romantic feel to it and the food and service were out of this world.
We chose Max as our photographer, he just loves taking photographs, he has the knack of taking natural pictures without you being aware, obviously you have the official ones where everybody smiles and says the word cheese, but just leave him along and you will probably end up with between 550 and 600 photographs to choose from.
Gianluca was our videographer man and again I would recommend him, Max and he work well as a team and thats what you need on this imporant day, you only get one chance at this and its got to be right.
Everything about Italian Lakes Weddings is professional, no need to look elsewhere, they can not be beaten.
