Salo is a charming lakeside town full of history dating back to the Romans and Venetians. This area is often overlooked by travellers which is a shame as it offers so much. The resort is great if you are looking for somewhere flat as most hotels are close to the centre.
There are numerous bars, shops and restaurants and a big market on a Saturday. The marina and lakeside promenade run along the whole length of the town and it boasts the longest promenade on the lake. The town hall is in the pedestrian area of the town set on the lakeside and is called the ‘Palazzo della Magnifica Patria’.
There are a few different venues where your wedding can take place in Salò, the large room (The Sala Consiliera) with very high ceilings can seat max 60 persons and more standing, for our smaller wedding parties (The Saletta) can take a max of 12 persons with beautiful views of the gulf of Salò. The Mayors office can offer an intimate wedding for you and your witnesses only.
