Laura and Anthony Sapherson
Dear Anna, Sarah and Matea,
We honestly don’t know where to start in thanking you all for everything you have done for us.
Planning a wedding abroad is very nerve wracking experience as no matter how much research you do, there is always that worry in the back of your mind that something could go wrong or that the company you have chosen does not live up to your expectations. Well we can safely that the day we decided to go with Italian Lakes Weddings was the best decision of our lives. From the beginning Sarah put our mind at ease and kept us informed every step of the way. Nothing was too much trouble and any queries were answered promptly no matter what time of the day. I honestly can say that we did not have to worry about a thing as everything was organised for us and the process of arranging our statutory declarations was made easy by Sarah’s thorough and precise instructions of what to do (I’ve heard from other people who have gotten married abroad, not with Italian Lakes Weddings, that this process can be confusing and a bit of a nightmare) but for us it was a breeze.
When we arrived in Malcesine, we fell in love with the place. We met Anna during the week and she was fantastic; she talked us through everything and made us feel so at ease. I had my make-up trial with Natalia our make-up artist who came highly recommended and did not disappoint. She was amazing. Not only was she a lovely person, but she was so talented. She did my practice run and I was blown away it was perfect, and I did not need to change a thing (although if I had, she would not have minded)
So, the run through was complete and now all we had to do was wait for the big day. And what a day it was. Anna had organised the day down to a tee. From Natalia and Giuseppe (our photographer) arriving to the flowers and the taxis and car. Natalia was so professional she had a lot of people to fit in, but she managed, and everyone’s make up was fabulous. I was blown away by my make-up. It was even better than the trail which I hadn’t thought was possible.
Anna met all the guests and Anthony at bar Castello and took them to the venue where she waited for me to arrive. And that was where it all began. It was like a fairy-tale wedding and everything was perfect. The flowers and the castle were stunning and the view from the balcony where we go married was magical. I had wanted to have the wedding outside at the top of the castle; however it rained before the ceremony and so the wedding had to be set up inside and it was absolutely amazing. The room was stunning and the views spectacular. We could not have asked for a better venue. I married my prince in a castle!
The ceremony was so beautiful and the violinist just added to the magic. The registrar was so lovely and Matea was so eloquent with her translation of the ceremony.
I must also say a massive thank you to Giuseppe as he was brilliant, and the photos are amazing. The photos were the part I was least looking forward to at I do not usually like getting my picture taken. However Giuseppe was such a friendly person and made us all feel at ease during the photos. After our official photos, he stayed for the whole day and night however he blended into the background and got some fantastic natural shots. What a talented guy and a risk taker ha ha. At one point I thought he was going to fall out the window getting the right angle for the photo. But he knew what he was doing, and it was worth it.
Although the day didn’t go quite to plan, and we didn’t get to go on the sailboat due to the weather, it did not matter. Anna and Matea were so professional and had a backup plan that was just as good if not better and it meant the groom did not get sea sick!
Our night time reception was at the restaurant Al Corsaro and what a reception it was. The food was the best we have tasted in the whole of Italy (and we travelled around for 5 weeks so that is saying something) The owner and the staff were lovely, and the arrangement of the reception was great. We had 5 amazing courses and the staff were fantastic putting up with us dancing between each course. A fun time was had by all.
Anna and Matea stayed with us throughout the whole day and night they directed everything and made sure the whole day and night went to plan. Together they made it the most wonderful day of our lives and I cannot recommend them enough. They are all so passionate and it shows in their work. Their professionalism is outstanding and their ability to create something that is so magical is a special talent.
The only thing that I could say that was bad about the whole day was that it went way too fast!!!
Thank you to everyone that was a part of our special day and a massive thank you to Italian Lakes Weddings. You are all absolutely fantastic!

Dear Italian Lakes Weddings
Re- Wedding day 19/08/17
We would like to thank you all for an amazing wedding.
From the start of our communications with yourselves you have been prompt in replying, helpful with all of our questions (and the times we changed our minds!) and so professional.
Anna met with myself in April when I flew over to have a look around. I immediately fell in love with Malcesine. It is absolutely stunning. I knew we had chosen the correct location.
Despite my many worries you reassured me at all times. When we arrived in August we met with you again and I had my hair and make up trials. The girls were fantastic and just by looking at a photo the hairstyle and make up I wanted was created!
On the day of the wedding everything went smoothly! I had a big smile on my face all day.
The ceremony on top of the castle with the harpist playing was so romantic, the stunning views and the gifts we were given just made the start of the day so magical.
Our reception at Al Corsaro was the best food and wine we have ever tasted. Only this week Daniel said he wants to try the sausage risotto again! I would recommend this venue to everyone, the manager is such a lovely guy, he is amazing, the food was second to none and the atmosphere with the band playing in the background made the day!
The surprise Tottenham Hotspur cake for my new husband was perfect! It got me many wife brownie points! It was just as I asked for.
The boat ride was a fantastic way to end the day. Despite my worries about the weather the rain held off until a small shower on the boat and the most amazing thunder storm at our evening do, which every one filmed and declared the best thunder storm they had ever seen!!!
This week we received our wedding video. It had captured memories we will treasure for ever. It brought such a smile to our faces remembering what was a perfect day. We also had the filming of the speeches!! My mother in law was desperate to hear them again so this was a wonderful addition!! It also reminded us how beautiful Malcesine is and we will be definitely returning for anniversarys in the future.
I wish we could do it all again!! The day was perfect and that\'s thanks to the fantastic Italian lakes wedding team!
Much love to you all.

Hi Sarah, Anna and Matea,
We wanted to thank you all for everything you did for us to ensure we had the best day on our wedding day. Thank you for all your help and kindness over the duration of planning our wedding and on the day itself. Words are not enough to express just how great the wedding was and the memories we and our families and friends have are amazing. Everything was exactly how we wanted it and I still can\'t believe how smoothly Anna ran the day, I didn\'t have to think of anything only that I was the bride and had all the time in the world to enjoy the day. Further thank yous must go to Mario and his team at Al Corsaro for literally the best food I have ever eaten, thank you for making the reception an unbelievable experience. Thank you to Giuseppe and Fabiana for putting us all at ease and getting the most beautiful photos of our wedding day, they were hilarious!!! We cannot recommend you all enough to anyone thinking of planning and sharing their wedding day with you. Thank you for everything, Kira and Michael Halliday

We just wanted to write to say thankyou for organising a fantastic day for us.
Sarah answered all our emails promptly and was brilliant at arranging everything to our requirements.
When we arrived in Italy, it was arranged for us to be met by Anna to go through the final arrangements. We went to visit the florist, the town hall, the castle and our reception venue. Anna had a great relationship with suppliers so we had everything we required.
On the wedding day, all the guests were picked up in Riva Del Garda in minibuses and a beautiful Mercedes limo for my husband to be. My car (a classic Fiat 500) arrived separately so I didn\'t see my future husband before the ceremony. The driver was fantastic and made sure we got to castle in time. I was actually early as the traffic was kind but this wasn\'t a problem as Anna arranged for me to wait for a short while with a well deserved prosecco! I was also presented with a bouquet which I loved!
The guests were directed to Bar Castello at the foot of the castle for a quick drink before the ceremony (Dutch courage for Michael haha).
One the guests were in the castle, I was taken to the foot of the castle and was met by the photographer Alice. As I was a little early for the ceremony, this allowed time for some extra photos.
As I was waiting to go up to the ceremony I could hear the wonderful harp music, which sounded fantastic.
The ceremony went well and the harpist played music which we had selected including Led Zeppelin and The Rolling Stones. I would highly recommend the harp as the acoustics in the castle work well for the music and we had a lot of positive comments about the harpist.
Matea translated the ceremony for us and did a fantastic job. She put us at ease and spoke clearly so all the guests could hear.
We were presented with a certificate that had a picture of the castle on it and a personalised plate with our names and wedding date and an etching of the castle which was a nice touch.
After the ceremony we had photos around the castle and then an ice-cream in cento per cento, which was a relief as it was a scorching hot day (36 degrees).
Anna and Matea did a great job of directing all of the guests so everyone was organised.
We were then taken to the corner bar in Malcesine for a few drinks. A tuk tuk was arranged for a disabled guest whilst we were taken in the fiat. Alice was so athletic chasing us down the street with her camera. She even stood in the road near the roundabout to get some photos which was great. We can\'t wait to see the final pictures.
Before our reception, we were met by a trenino (road train) to take us to Restaurant al Cervo. The guests really enjoyed this as it\'s not the standard wedding transport.
The venue was beautifully dressed and the food and cake was excellent. The Venue was great for the kids who were guests as there was a playground for them to let off some steam.
Anna and Matea arranged for us to have transport back to Riva Del Garda a little early as there was a festival in town. We were dropped off in Riva (Anna even arranged a Mercedes for us instead of a normal taxi). The guests had a fantastic time taking in the live music whilst having a few drinks and some more ice-cream. We eventually made it to bed at 3am so a great time was had by all. We had a brilliant relaxed wedding without any stress.
We can\'t thank you all enough and would highly recommend this company to arrange your wedding. Organising a wedding can be stressful, but I felt relaxed throughout, as all the small details were taken care of. Sarah is a great organiser and Anna has great local knowledge and put you at ease straight away. Matea was so friendly and speaks English really well so there wasn\'t a language barrier. Anna and Matea stayed the full day, so anything we needed was organised for us. The guests enjoyed their company and it felt like we had known each other for years. Alice was a brilliant photographer, so energetic and friendly. I\'m sure we will have some great pictures.
If you are considering getting married in Italy - do it! I wish we could do it all again!
Thankyou!!!
Sarah & Anna, We thank you both, from the bottom of our hearts!
